HRE Wheels & GE ADDITIVE create Partnership to create the worlds first 3D-printed titanium wheel
HRE and GE Additive’s AddWorks team used Electron Beam Melting (EBM) technology to develop and produce a prototype automotive wheel.
It is made from an advanced titanium powder, unveiling the first car wheel to be made by this process. An amazing result with cross bridging of the spokes and detailing. No requirement for paint or powdercoating due to the corrosision resistance of titanium in its raw state.
